Cope Obie Award

Dr. Douglas Evans, DVM, owner-operator of Sunny Acres Farm of Georgetown, N.Y., is the recipient of the 2015 Obie Snider Award, the top honor of the All-American Dairy Show. Presenting the honor to him are, (L-R) Bruce Snider representing his father Obie; Dr. Evans; Dr. Alan McCauley, President of the Pa. Dairy and Allied Industries Association; Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding.

The All-American Dairy Show is now accepting applications for the 2016 Obie Snider Award. The award was established in memory of Obie Snider of Bedford County, a founding father of the All-American Dairy Show. It recognizes an individual who places significant value in service to the industry and community and displays high standards of conduct.

“Promoting and featuring top-notch cattle was just the vehicle to bring together hundreds of outstanding dairy breeders who shared Obie's passion for the industry,” said Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding. “The vision he had for this show is reflected in those who have received this award in his honor, and we invite you to nominate the next worthy recipient.”

The winner of the 2016 award will be recognized at the 53rd All-American Dairy Show this September.
